My treatments went fine this week. My hemoglobin count was 10 -- right at the limit -- so I managed to avoid the shot once again and now have a month for my count to bounce back before my next treatment. That's scheduled for May 22.
The appointment with the ENT didn't go very well. He seemed frustrated that I was not "cured" and said if it's not acid reflux he has no idea what it can be. Thanks, doc. He switched me to Prevacid, 30 mg twice a day (vs. 40 mg of Nexium once a day), said to try it for two weeks and call him. So much for our great initial impression of him. If this doesn't work, my next step is a gastroenterologist. What fun!
The weekend temperatures are supposed to be in the mid-80s. So far this morning I'm feeling pretty good, so I'm going to attempt to get outside and start cleaning up my gardens. Wish me luck and enjoy your weekend!!!
